From a promising winery in the Morgan Hill area south of San Jose, this blend of 48% Grenache, 36% Syrah, 12% Mourvèdre, 2% Carignane and 2% Petite Sirah shows deep, dark but not juicy black plum, condensed coffee and game aromas. There’s firm structure to the palate, which is dense yet dry with elderberry, dark chocolate and violet flavors.
