This is a 50-50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from Coombsville. It’s dense with tannins, but they’re very finely woven, and the wine has a gentle grace. The flavors of blackberries are pristine and ripe, and accompanied by a new oak smokiness. Good as it is now, it will develop bottle complexity after 2016.
