A dense nose of leathery violets and heavy blackberries promise a heady sipper on this wine by San Jose-based Adam Comartin. It is indeed rich on the palate, with flavors or strawberry and cranberry juice, all cut but a clove-powered spice that manages to keep the thicker wine rather light on its feet.
