Perhaps it’s because of the stem inclusion, but this wine is amazingly floral and spicy on the nose. On the palate, it’s just a little creamy in texture, with savory elements that balance raspberry underpinnings. Tannins are supple, making it deceptively easy to drink now, although it should age well through at least 2016. The blend is 35% Mourvèdre, 35% Grenache and 30% Syrah.
