It’s rare in Burgundy that a producer can add his name to a vineyard, but Faiveley’s tradition goes back at least a century. This is huge and dense; the notes of spice, sweet black plum and acidity are all comfortably balanced with the powerful tannic structure. This needs at least seven years of aging.
