The nose isn’t very expressive but eventually reveals subdued aromas of dried rose, raisin, leather, truffle and a whiff of dark spice. Showing the heat of the vintage, the palate is somewhat evolved, offering dried wild cherry, espresso, vanilla anise and toasted oak alongside drying tannins that leave an astringent finish. Drink through 2021.
