The undesignated Pinot from Felton Road is normally a pretty approachable bottling, but in 2000, it’s a big, brooding wine that needs time to unwind. Complex aromas of chocolate, dark plums and smoke are complemented by a hint of root vegetables. Finishes with notes of coffee and tart cherries.
