This is a new bottling from Justin, and it’s one of its best wines in years. Blended mostly from Syrah, with a splash of Mourvèdre and Grenache, it’s rich, ripe and velvety smooth. The wine shows a warm-climate touch of overripeness in the chocolate-covered raisin flavor, which gives it a Port-like warmth. Otherwise, the flavors veer toward blackberry and cassis liqueur.
