A blend from the cooler Watch Hill Vineyard near Los Alamos and the warmer McGinley Vineyard in Happy Canyon, this wine from the veteran vintner shows dense red fruit and black cherry on the nose, along with fresh purple flowers and cracked pepper. Black-plum skins, beef char, black cherry, rosemary, thyme and black pepper pop on the palate.
