Nice black cherry and black currant fruit flavors are wrapped in a casing of stone and earth. This wine seems to be holding itself back, perhaps just in need of further cellaring, certainly requiring decanting. It’s compact, elegant and well balanced, but shy. A pleasing streak of truffle elevates the finish.
