With just 8% Syrah in the blend, this is a fine example of the distinctive flavors found in the best Washington state Mourvèdre. The vines are still young, the raspberry/blackberry fruit flavors bright, focused and forward, but the penetrating minerality of the grape and the region is also in evidence. The Syrah brings a hint of pepper into play in the finish.
