A gigantic Pinot Noir, rich and heady in black cherries, sweet licorice, bacon, mocha and toasty oak flavors, wrapped into firm tannins and brightened with crisp Santa Lucia acidity. It’s a dramatic wine, but too young. Give it at least four years for all the parts to begin to come together.
