I’ve always thought of Seifried—perhaps because of Hermann’s Austrian heritage—as a white-wine producer, but this Pinot Noir is a strong effort. The palate brings Bing cherry and faint herbal notes, with a taut, medium body and a long, mouthwatering finish showcasing fine fruit. Drink now–2018.
