The barrel aging is still the defining element in this wine, adding layers of meaty fat to what appears to be very young fruit. Bright cranberry and cherry notes are set in firm acids. Well-integrated hints of herb and spice, bursts of sweet berry and dry, tea-flavored tannins sail through the finish.
