A vibrant and lithe expression of cool-climate Syrah, this bottling shows crushed peppercorns, beef char, thyme, coffee syrup, potpourri and blackberry juice on the nose. The crisp palate is lively with peppery spice, with a base of tart elderberry juice layered with cooked lamb and fresh rosemary. It finishes with a healthy sense of pencil shavings.
