The sanguine smells of iron and wet earth characterize the aromatics of this bottling. It then slides into a tart, unripe raspberry flavor, with a faint hint of cola. As in many 2011s, the flavors seem to be stuck somewhere between primary fruit and secondary nuances, with mouth-biting but not pleasure-enhancing acidity in the leading role.
